Wannasee Penrith has excellent camping facilities available, all close to the main festival site. There are a number of large camp sites, each located close to the main festival area, within easy walking distance, in the beautiful grounds of Hutton in the Forest, so you can pitch up, relax, and enjoy a whole weekend of brilliant live music, without a long hike!
All camp sites will have 24 hour security, floodlights on main pathways, drinking water points, toilet blocks which will be manned 24/7 and access to the shower blocks. A cleaning team will be on hand throughout the weekend to keep the toilets and showers nice and clean.
In 2024, the festival have removed Quiet Camping, as it is their view that all-night partying is not appropriate at a family orientated festival and so all attendees in all campsites should be happy to enjoy the campsites subject to a 12.30am noise curfew to ensure the comfort of all attendees.
Tents: If camping in a tent, whilst the festival do not operate strict pitch sizes, please use discretion to be fair to everyone and bring a tent that is no larger than 2-person per camper, e.g. no bigger than a 4-person tent for 2 people, 6-person tent for 3 people etc. This will ensure everyone gets a fair space, as if everyone brought 8-person tents for 2 campers it would reduce the number of camping tickets available. For safety, to avoid the risk of vehicles driving between occupied tents, all cars will be parked together, close by your tent in the nearest available parking zone, for duration of your stay, so no long walks carrying your camping gear.
Live in Vehicles: Caravans, camper vans and motorhomes are welcome and there is a dedicated campsite for Live In Vehicles which includes all campsite facilities plus ELSAN waste disposal points. Each Live-In Vehicle will require a Live In Vehicle Permit, and these are per vehicle, not per person. Please note any Live In Vehicles which are brought to the festival without a permit will either be turned away, or if there is available space be offered a permit at the final sale price rather than any advance discount. Each Live-In Vehicle pitch will measure 7m x 8m which is sufficient space for a caravan, car and small awning to be pitched. Any Live In Vehicle combinations which require more total space than 7m x 8m should contact the festival in advance to discuss this.
There will be no quiet campsites at Penrith 2024, instead all campsites across the festival will have family suitable noise curfews and similar levels of security.
Age Restrictions: Wannasee is a family orientated festival and we encourage family units of all shapes and sizes to attend, we do not however allow children to be unaccompanied at any time within the festival. A Challenge 25 policy will be used to ensure that adult wristbands are only available to those who can prove they are over 18, and Under 18 wristbands will not be valid in any area without the accompanying adult.

Can I bring a BBQ/fire/stove to the Wannasee Penrith campsite?
Wannasee want their guests to enjoy their time there to the fullest, and that means great camping facilities, but they must balance this against safety requirements and good practice. To that end, their advice on BBQs, Camping Stoves and Fires is set out below:
Open fires are permitted only in fireproof containers clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
BBQs are permitted only when clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
Camping Stoves are permitted, and they wholeheartedly encourage people to use either solid or liquid fuelled options which are not only much safer but more environmentally friendly too.
If you use a gas canister supplied stove (butane etc) please ensure that you bring only the minimum amount of gas required for your stay and both always use and store these items appropriately.
All fires / stoves must always be used an appropriate distance from any tents. At least 1m is essential and over 2m for any form of open fire or BBQ.
Security will prevent any improper use of fires, BBQs or stoves and person who fail to follow these basic safety steps risk their items being seized and/or being ejected from the Festival.
