Review of An Intimate Audience With Kyle Falconer (The View)

Absolutely brilliant gig.   Venue was intimate and it just added to the brilliant atmosphere.  Kyle was on top form and it was the best gig I've been to in years.

Outstanding gig, no ventilation though let it down a bit

Very disappointing night watching Kyle Falconer in Aviemore . He seemed to be, how can I put it, in less than a fit state from the off. The proposed interview/Q&A never really happened, what very little there was was just a few minutes of incoherent rambling. The whole gig was just a mess. 

As far as I have been able to find out, the gig he did earlier that day in Inverness was all fine. Therefore, you can only assume he got p***ed after that gig with little or no consideration for the fans due to see him in Aviemore. Made to feel as if we don't matter.

Can't fault the venue (Osprey Lounge, McDonald Aviemore Resort), a last minute replacement after the original venue (Old Bridge Inn) was sadly flooded. Only issue was the room was too big for the size of event, but the fact they got it on at all at short notice was a credit to them.

I've always been a big fan of Kyle and The View. Seen them live numerous times over the years and they've always been brilliant. Hopefully this was just an unfortunate one-off.

Great chance to hear Kyle Falconer play - requests too! And he spoke about his career, songwriting and some stories, as well as answering questions from the crowd. Three impressive support acts - The Chosen  Lonely (Steven Barclay), Hugh ‘Winnie’ Winton and Kyle’s friend Dovv. All worth checking out. Chance to be up close and personal with Kyle,  find out more about him and his life and hear powerful acoustic one man and guitar performance. Would have been great to have more! But this was a special event just as it was.
