thoroughly enjoyed it, everyone was very friendly, only drawback was scattered rain showers through the day but we all just got on with it

Review of Elf @ Drive In Theatre Andover

Good drive in with plenty of hard standing and good view of the screen even in the cheap seats. Toilet facilities were very poor and dirty - 2 portaloos with no toilet paper. Half way through our sounds system stopped working and we had to go and get a new one. It was ok, something different for the kids, but wouldn't go again.

Overall it was a good drive in cinema experience however there were a couple of things that could be improved. The sound on the mobile speakers you were given went in and out and there was no organisation to the exit once the film ended - the marshals simply let all cars try to leave at once in a mosh pit which was slow, ineffective and frustrating.

Drive-In Cinemas were all the rage from the 1950s to the 1970s until their popularity dwindled. Now in 2020 as the result of Covid-19, Drive-In Cinemas are seeing a resurgence in popularity, allowing customers to enjoy movie entertainment safely and with social distancing measures in place.
