Antwerp Mansion had a reputation as one of the most infamous places for a student night out in Manchester. The building being a rundown Victorian mansion, it played host to countless raves and guest DJ sets and was one of the most popular nightclubs in the city and particularly in Rusholme.
Inevitably noise complaints got the heralded venue into disputes with the council and they were told to restrict their opening hours and capacity. This forced Antwerp to sadly be closed down, but the venue lives on in spirit throughout the city. The venue itself now used as a location for photography, art exhibitions and filming.
The Antwerp Mansion name has recently been putting on events throughout the city and you can find AMP presents attached to plenty of post-covid parties and club nights. The venue may not be around anymore, but Antwerp Mansion is determined that the mark it leaves on Manchester will be there for some time
