Well, the Camp and Furnace, continue their downward spiral of garbage nights....!

We arrived at 7pm, the supposed opening time, only to find as usual, we were just stood outside until someone bothered to come out and open the doors.

Then there was just one poor guy scanning the tick*ts and giving out the wristband's.

Another brilliant start to what was just another garbage evening there.

The DJ, and we use the term, VERY LOOSELY, the same guy as usual, was awful, as expected.

This event was advertised as wall to wall Christmas songs.

This may well be false advertising as after almost two hours there, we can only recall, three Christmas songs, actually being played.

Not quite wall to wall. 

This this guy played, Blame it on the boogie'.

Things might be looking up we thought.   

Only to have him play some rock song after it....!

Errrrrrrmmmmmm......   Should the genre of the songs, be similar....!?  Shouldn't they maintain the same style of music and also blend into each other....?

Oh no, of course not, this is the Camp and Furnace, where it seems the DJ's, just play random songs, with gaps of silence inbetween each one.

We didn't think it could get much worse.......   But it did.....!

Then the band came on.

We were hoping it'd be the same band as last year, with the two girls singing, as they were brilliant...!

But again, this is the Camp and Furnace, so of course not.

This must've been a gang of lads who just have a bash as a band when there's no footie on the telly.

They were awful...!

You could tell how unimpressed people were by the lack of applause after each badly done song.

We saw people leaving that room to go into the front one, as they weren't impressed.

We'd had enough by then and decided to leave.

As we did, we bumped into a group of friends who were on their work night out.

We told them we were going to the Box Park.

Most of these friends hadn't been to the Camp and Furnace, before, said the music by the supposed, DJ, was so poor, and the band, so bad, they were all leaving when they'd finished drinks.

We headed over to the Box Park, where guess what.......!?

Where guess what....!?  They were actually playing Christmas songs...!

We all had a far better night there.

By the way, there no point having lights round the slowly spinning disco globe as it's covered in so much dirt and dust, not much reflects off it.

We've been attending nights and the recent day events for a good few years now, but have noticed a real and clear lack in quality.

The company who do 'Day Fever', have now lost our customer forever.

The idea behind 'Day Fever', is a 'Night Fever', disco like event, but during the day....!

Yet now all they appear to be, are raves...!

Sadly we wasted our money booking tick*ts to the, 'Day Fever', event on Sat 21st Dec, but won't be attending.

We're not going to waste our time, effort and car millage on it.

We've noticed the number of people attending these events is beginning to drop off.

Speaking to people there, they're of the same opinions.

The Camp and Furnace, used to be a great place to go, for great nights, now it's become somewhere we speak about with derision...!

Would we recommend it to friends....?

A year ago, yes, we did....!

Now, we never even mention it, and as sure as hell don't recommend it to anyone.

The last good event we had there was the 70's Disco.

At least for once, you actually did what you advertised.

We have two events left to attend, both in the New Year.

The 70's All Day Disco, and 80's Day.

After these, we won't be returning to the Camp and Furnace, for some time.

If ever....!

You've lost us two loyal patrons with your poor DJ's, music selection, and so many other things.

I doubt very much we'll return as customers of yours.

Review of If You Really Love Christmas - Liverpool

Brilliant night !! 
We were a group of 17 friends meeting for a chrimbo night out & what a fabulous time we all had.
All round nice happy vibe throughout the place from start to finish.
Everyone from the door staff, to the bar staff, to all the other people enjoying the night out was friendly & happy.
