The music was great. The crowd was unhinged. I have only rarely seen a person being ejected from a club- and I usually dance at the back/near a door, so as to maintain situational awareness. I saw at least 4 males try to push past security, and then try and scuffle when they were stopped. Security were trying valiantly to keep people calm and maintain a one-way system so people could get out of the room if they wished, and in if space was available. The large number of the crowd who were solely focused on trying to stay with their groups to the exclusion of basic politeness to anyone outside their groups led to further issues, as did the number of people who seemed too drunk to think. This is not a complaint about security, I think they did a good job under the circumstances, but I suspect, like some other venues in sheffield, that the capacity of this venue is in actuality around 10-15percent smaller than that stated by the licensing/fire safety officers, and simply too many tickets were sold. I would further say that I interacted with some individuals who were quite lovely. I do also realise that reducing the number of tickets sold increases the price per ticket. But the majority of the crowd made me feel ashamed to be human, so I really need to get that off my chest.
