We had a chat with the influential acid house DJ and former Hacienda resident before his set at Northenden Fringe Festival, talking all things New Order, grassroots venues, the impact of Hacienda, and more.

Absolutely loved the Playhouse Project Christmas Party at the Kimpton Clocktower. The music was fab, the venue was really great and spacious so we didn't feel too crammed in, loads of room for the little ones to run around and dance and loads to do. Perfect for both adults and kids! Really reasonably priced tickets too. Keep doing what you're doing!

Event was good and DJs too, but was overall far too empty. May be the post-bank-holiday/pay day weekend syndrome... but wondering whether the promoters need to amp up the marketing to get more of a crowd going.

Place was freezing, toilets were next to unusable. Bar was poorly stocked, nobody checked tickets or bothered to even ask on the door, begrudge paying for something I could’ve waltzed off the street and joined. S**te!

Brilliant night great atmosphere friendly faces 

Venue was great roll on next one 

Best night  out I’ve had for a long time. 👌 Only concern was the toilets: locks on cubicle doors not working, mucky floor, generally in a poor state. 

Freindly staff. nice party people. Great night.
