Review of The Glasgow Choir Festival

First time at Queens Park Arena . I did bring my blanket so really enjoyed the outdoor venue. The choirs were fabulous. All quite different really loved The City of Glasgow Chorus and the Govanhill Neig*bourhood Choir. Will definitely return to the choir festival next year.

About

Welcome to Open Stage at Queen’s Park Arena, the perfect opportunity for people of the southside to showcase their talents in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We are delighted to announce that we are now accepting applications for this year’s Open Stage event.

Open Stage is an exciting showcase of live arts performances, art and music lessons, environmental art exhibitions, participatory activities, and masterclasses. It’s a great platform for local talent to showcase their skills and engage with the community. Our aim is to bring people together, build connections, and inspire creativity.

Open stage takes place before ‘Cults & Classics’ evening screenings, providing a perfect opportunity to enjoy the summer sunshine while watching some of the best performers from across the southside. We believe that everyone has a talent to share, and Open Stage is the perfect platform for that.

As well as providing an opportunity for performers, Open Stage also features local theatre performances and workshops. Our aim is to create a vibrant cultural hub that connects the community and inspires creativity.

Previous Open Stage events have featured some incredible performers, including Markee de Saw and Beatbox Scotland. We are excited to see what this year’s event will bring.

Perfomances are free to attend with a Cults & Classics ticket for that evening.
