About

What started as an off the cuff remark about the lack of spaces for LGBTQ+ women, the trans community and nonbinary people in Manchester has turned into a name that is renowned for its unforgettable parties that put the she's, her's and they's first.

'What She Said' ensures they book female, trans and nonbinary DJs, producers and music selectors as headliners and have represented at some of the biggest events including Manchester Pride, London Pride, Ministry of Sound, HOMOBLOC, WHP and Mighty Hoopla, to name a few, but it's their small events that really matter.  No glitz, no glam, just cheap pints, brilliant music and vibes that replicate days gone by of queer female, dyke-loving, parties in small sweaty spaces, but now it's in spaces in Manchester that match our ethos.

FAQs

'What She Said' events take place in venues across Manchester that we know will be welcoming to all that attend our events.

What She Said events are every few months.  We're run by a very small team with day jobs and we're a non-profit club night which means we try and keep the ticket prices as affordable as possible for all.

You can follow us on socials to keep up to date with when our events will be happening:

'What She Said' is about making a safe space for LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people rather than making money.  This means we like to keep the ticket prices as affordable as possible whilst also ensuring we pay our artists a good fee for their work.

With in this in mind tickets prices can vary from £5 to £12 depending on who we try and book for you.

'What She Said' is for LGBTQ+ women, the trans community and nonbinary people first and foremost but we don't want to exclude any of our friends that support us so our dance floor is open to all as long as you're respectful, kind, and dance like no one's watching.
