An awesome gig, the staff outside were verry helpful in managing the queues and getting us in asap. Great vibe inside and the sound was spot on.

Review of Beluga Lagoon - O2 Academy Glasgow

The most incredible band sounded unreal & wow there was a choir in the academy... brilliant! The venue however was shocking... after finally getting inside it felt far too crammed, people standing on the stairs, couldn't move around & felt really unsafe. The crowd was rough & disrespectful of the music & the true fans. So disappointed as we love BL but on this occasion the people really didn't make Glasgow.

The O2 priority queue was pointless, the door staff were rude & thr O2 angels who were managing the queue went inside to catch the start of the gig while hundreds of us were still outside. 

Would not recommend this venue... let's get back to the Barras!

Sorry to say the show didn't really spark into life until very late in the set and was marred by persistent static/feedback which ruined the quieter numbers. I'm not convinced the play list really suited the O2 - the slower tempo choir-accompanied first half would have succeeded in a smaller venue but the sound seemed lost here. The mix didn't seem quite right - vocals indistinct and drums too prominent. A pity, as I saw Beluga Lagoon at Barrowlands in the summer and I know how good they can be - that gig absolutely rocked. This one didn't. The venue seemed overcrowded with insufficient toilet facilities.

Band amazing (tho started 20min late) & we paid for at least 2.5 hours & didn't get that! 

Venue DYER - crushed at back, no view and NO speakers at the back so you would have only heard band well in front section! 
Left early as so disappointed that couldn't hear near back.....
