We encourage to dress up in rave gear, colourful light up gadgets, and anything you love about the 90s and early 2000s.

You're totally welcome to wear casual clothing. You should feel comfortable in what you're wearing. 👍

We focus on trance music and try to play a good mix of oldschool trance that transports you right bank to 1999 and modern electronic dance music that fits well with the genre and is currently being played at festivals around the world. 

We're appreciative of all kinds of EDM, so there could be a hint of techno, eurodance, hardcore, ebm, etc. as long as it fits the vibe.

We're all about experimentation with trance to keep things fresh and positively surprising.

We welcome everyone over the age of 18. Our audience is generally between the age of 25 to 55 - people who love trance.

We have a community of great people who are respectful of each other and that's how we love it. Please join us for the next event, we're sure you'll fit right in.

Bassmentality was set up by Joeri Vanhamel and Michael Marsden in the summer of 2024. 

We're a very young in the industry with great ambitions to give Reading the club nights it deserves, with special attention to genres that don't get enough attention. 

We think people in Reading deserve a place where they can listen to great trance music without having to travel for hours. 

In 2025, we're also planning to start a second night that focuses on the ritual of techno: rhythmic, cathartic music that will elevate your spirits. We've got some really big surprises in store for you from some of the best techno producers and DJs the UK has to offer.

We work with a variety of talented DJs and want to give everyone who understands what we're trying to build a place on our stage. 

We'll have a few local residents who will play several sets per year, but we also want to keep it fresh. 

DJ Lemahnav, one of our founders, is currently playing at every event to help curate the sound of Zero Gravity.
