Sheffield based trance night that has caused a stir through club land ever since its inception in February 2007
After quickly becoming known for a truly world class DJ bill, first rate productions and a unique atmosphere, OTR has given the local club scene a much needed beat injection.
OTR’s home is FEZ Club, Sheffield. Here you can expect to be kept dancing until the early hours with our signature laser cut dancefloor bathed in FEZ's ultra-crisp Martin Audio sound system and a raised intimate DJ booth that keeps you truly involved in the action, not to mention state of the art visuals, lighting and productions; OTR has well and truly become a staple to any clubbing schedule.
OTR has always prided itself on providing you with one of the most upfront music policies and DJ line-ups you could expect to hear. Having taken a short break in 2009, OTR returned in an emphatic fashion and have continued to welcome a host of the world’s most prolific artists to its decks including Aly & Fila, Menno De Jong, John O’Callaghan, Matt Hardwick, Orjan Nilsen, Rank1, Simon Patterson and Sean Tyas to name but a few.
Always thinking outside the box, OTR have brought some of the most unique trance and progressive events to have braced the country to Sheffield over the years. With exclusive live performances coming from Solarstone, Roger Shah via a 3 hour extended set and The Thrillseekers showcasing his musical genius through his Live XTreme production, OTR pride themselves on bringing the freshest nights to the scene. Off the Rails were also the brand which produdly brought you local trance legend, Matt Hardwick’s final farewell event upon him announcing his retirement from DJing in 2011. For all those who attended the event, it’s safe to say it was a night to remember and certainly a fitting end for the man who has done so much for trance in the steel city.
The annual Journey Through Trance event is yet another shining example of OTR reaching out to its wanting ravers, providing a classics event with a twist through the talents of the country’s finest up and coming DJs. This sell-out crowd year upon year provide the perfect atmosphere to the soundtrack that has shaped so many people’s lives, making it a definite date in any clubbers diary.
Such is the reputation that OTR has now enveloped throughout club land over the last few years, the Sheffield based brand have been invited to collaborate with a host of the most renowned names around. From Insomniacz at the mighty Magna to Digital Society at the O2 in Leeds, as well as hosting the main room at what is one of the country’s premier venues, Air in Birmingham, for the sell-out Godskitchen event, SixFiveTwelve which saw trance megastars Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk take to the main stage.
OTR’s vision has always been clear; to be at the forefront of any clubbing experience. Rest assured, this is something we aim to continue and with a wealth of projects on the horizon, be sure to embrace that signature OTR experience.
