Mistajam, the promoters of Mute and wAFF have all contributed end of year round-ups for us so far, and we now shed the light on one of Cream's residents 2013, Rob Harnetty. Charged with setting the tone at their events in Liverpool and Ibiza for the trance and progressive house DJ, as well of course for Creamfields, Rob's selections have endeared him to the Cream faithful.

As he again plans to star for Cream alongside Chicane, Ben Gold, Bryan Kearney and Tenisha in the Annexe of Nation on Boxing Day. Here's his 2013.

How has 2013 been for you then overall?

Fun! Played in some great places to some great crowds, can't really ask for more!

What highlights have you had?

Creamfields was particularly amazing this year, and other than that, a fairly special few days in Ibiza during Radio One week that involved DJing in both rooms at Amnesia, Cafe Del Mar and the main room in Privilege in the space of a couple of days. Amazing time.

You’ve done a Spotify playlist for us, thanks! Explain the songs you’ve chosen and why?

It's a selection of tracks that have been significant to me over the past few years for various reasons, some I just cant stop playing out, some remind me of certain gigs, and all of them trigger amazing memories!. Old, new, various styles and a few of my own tracks thrown in there as well.

What other music have you been into this year?

The new Daft Punk album after a few listens, I've seen Chic live twice this year so been listening to a lot of Nile Rodgers stuff. I've found myself listening to a lot of older music actually. Also really enjoying a lot of the new house music around at the moment, Dusky, Breach, stuff like that.

What have you got planned for Boxing Day/New Year

On Boxing night I will be doing my usual thing at Cream but this time in the Annexe which I'm really looking forward to. Then from Cream straight to the airport where I'll be heading off to the US with a few of the boys for a little trip that will eventually find us in New York for NYE. A bit excited about that one.

And finally; any plans you can let slip for 2014?

A few exciting Europe dates in the pipeline but most of my plans at the moment are music production related, really looking forward to making some more music!
