Following the success of our first live event, Moolakii Club are running a series of events featuring leading exponents of experimental electronica alongside workshops and Electronic Music Open Mic sessions.

The first of these is running 8th June and we are proud to introduce the multi-discipline artist and producer Simon McCorry. Simon is a renowned Cello player who brings further magic to his sound through the use of electronic instrumentation and production both hardware and software looping to create ambient textures and soundscapes.

We are also delighted to bring a rare live performance from Wirral modular artist Giants of Discovery.

With releases through the Woodford Halse, Sub Exotic and Library Of The Occult labels, Giants of Discovery create gothic tapestries of electronica woven into sonic stories and tales of Victorian cosmic horror and Greek mythology with occasional leaps into dystopian science fiction. This will be a set of pure modular wonderment.

Before the live sets, there will be a workshop from Simon McCorry where he will discuss his workflow and hardware / software when creating his music. A must see for both practioner and electronic music lover - it will be a look behind the curtain of a master at work and hopefully be an inspiration for the community to build upon and create their own experiments in sound.

The day will begin with an Electronic Music Open Mic session - please get in touch if you would like to bring a small set up and show us what you do in the privacy of your own home in a safe and positive environment of fellow enthusiasts.
