Techno don Dave Clarke is set to wreak havoc at The Williamson Tunnels in Liverpool for 303's next event on Saturday 1st November.
303 was born with a simple ethos in mind, they wanted to unify the music of the present with grooves of the past. They wanted to go one step further than paying homage to older years by continuously booking relevant artists. Their name alone highlights what 303 events are all about; a focus on the distinctive synthesizer sound that has dominated dance floors since the days of acid house.
303 have set themselves apart from other events in Liverpool through their choice of venues for their events, most notably the Tunnels, which consists of a labyrinth of covered passageways, and is one of the cities truly underground spaces.
303's previous bookings show a clear running theme; each artist is highly respected currently but has also played a big part in the history of electronic music. With that in mind, the artist selection of Dave Clarke for this event is a no brainer.
Clarke was at the forefront of the development of techno in the nineties and his own synth-driven masterpieces reflect the profound knowledge he holds in regards to the genre. His rebellious, creative attitude towards music continues to land him gigs at some of the most respected clubs.
His relentless, thunderous sets are fast paced laced with acid touches, this dance music isn't for the faint hearted (check out his set at Awakenings above). Get your tickets for the event here.
