Hello, hello, hello, we're back with another 60 seconds with feature, where we talk to amazing up and coming talents that should be all over your radar. Today, we had a chat with Emily Nash, discussing everything from performing on a stage that felt like a spaceship to her plans for 2022.
Hello! Could you please introduce yourself?
"Hey! My name's Emily Nash and I’m a 20-year-old DJ & Producer from Kidderminster, Worcestershire!"
-
Perfect. Now, how would you describe your sound?
"I usually produce dance or tech-house, but I can also produce other genres like drum and bass. My sound can differentiate over my tracks but my favourite go-to sound/instrument is the M1 Organ."
What’s the best gig you ever played?
"The best gig I’ve played has to be Leeds Festival. The stage was incredible and it felt like I was performing in some sort of alien spaceship. Unreal."
-
And what’s the worst gig you ever played?
"I don’t think there’s been a worst gig. I’ve been lucky so far! But during COVID, I was supposed to play Nozstock Festival which unfortunately got cancelled."
What artist have you been listening to the most recently?
"I have been listening to Nia Archives a lot recently. I just think she’s so talented and the stuff she makes is insane!"
-
Finally, what are you most looking forward to in 2022?
"I'm looking forward to seeing what comes for me and to just DJ to thousands of people. I have some cool gigs lined up, for example, Printworks which has been on the top of my bucket list! I’m also excited to release loads of fresh music this year."
-
Earlier this year, Emily released her killer debut track, “Garden”, with Ministry of Sound, which you can listen to below. And with many exciting gigs coming up this year, including a performance at Lancaster’s highly anticipated festival, Highest Point, the only way is up for this young, talented artist. We can’t wait to see what she does yet.
