The Blockheads, the group originally fronted by legendary eccentric Ian Dury, are heading on tour. The group still continue their 1970s funk legacy by producing new music of their genre as well as touring and giving live performances of their hits, old and new.
Famed for their pinnacle hit records, 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick', 'Sex Drugs and Rock'n'Roll' as well as the narrative-style number three track, 'Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3' the funk and pop music mix of the band manages to remain timeless over the course of over three decades.
Following the death of their frontman Dury after a battle with cancer in 2000, The group went on to release a further four albums, including their 2001 tribute to the former vocalist, Brand New Boots and Panties, containing covers of Dury's debut with guest singers.
