8 reasons to go to New World Fest in 2024

Thinking about going to New World Fest to check out some of the best artists in DnB, UKG, house, tech house, and more? Here’s why you should go for it…

Set to be the festival’s most ambitious edition yet, New World Fest comes to Kings Farm (next to Hylands Park) in Chelmsford, the heart of Essex, on Saturday 24th - Sunday 25th of August this year.

With just four months to go until the festival kicks off with a huge bang, we’re getting uncontrollably giddy. So we thought we’d share with you some reasons why this year’s New World Fest is going to be absolutely brilliant and why you should consider going.

Some of the best dance music brands are stage hosts

New World Fest has got some of our favourite brands as stage hosts this year including ABODE, Worried About Henry, Love Juice, Cream Classics, Paravibe, Breakin Science, Ministry Of Sound, UKF, KISS, and Epidemik which means…

The lineup is incredible

100+ artists in DnB, house, tech house, trance, UKG, electronic, and bass music will take to the stages of New World in 2024. Among them are Fish56octagon, DJ EZ, Andy C, Artful Dodger, K Motionz, Sam Divine, Richy Ahmed, Roger Sanchez, Sammy Virji, Low Steppa, Example, Continental GT, Shermanology, Mozey, DJ Hype & DJ Hazard, Sweet Female Attitude, and so many more.

There’ll be five stages of music each day

With plenty of stages to explore (each with a unique atmosphere and theme), you can find the ones that best suit your tastes or have a wander and discover new sounds. And if you have friends with totally different tastes, New World is perfect with loads of different genres. The DnB heads can head to a set full of massive drops while the house fans can two-step to their heart's content. Lovely.

State-of-the-art sound systems mean you’ll hear your favourite tracks crystal clear

We can all agree that it’s a bit of a bummer when you turn up to an event and find the sound quality disappointing. Promising incredible sound systems, at New World, no bass line sounds weak, no percussion sounds muddy, and no track is too quiet. On top of that, the festival brings amazing visual installations to tie it all together.

Tickets are super budget-friendly

Despite the massive lineup of 100+ huge artists and out-of-this-world production, tickets for New World Fest are very gentle on the wallet. Weekend tickets are currently just under £80. And when they sell out, they’ll still only be £90. Payment plan options are available too to help you spread the cost! Busy on the Saturday or Sunday? No worries, day tickets are available too.

It goes down on the August bank holiday weekend

Out of all the bank holidays we have this year, if we were going to bet any money on which would have the best weather, it’d be the August bank holiday. So with a solid chance of good weather and time to recover since we have the Monday off to eat and sleep our hangovers away, New World couldn’t fall on a better weekend.

You’ll be celebrating your love of music with thousands of other music fans

10,000 other music fans, to be exact. There’s nothing quite like the freeing and friendly environment a music festival creates. You might make some new mates on the way to your favourite DJ, your group might share a dance with another, you might end up on a kind stranger's shoulders when that one banger comes in. It’s all part of the festival experience and sharing your love of live music with others.

There are great transport links from locations in the south

The fest is pretty easy to get to using public transport. If you’re coming from any of these stations: London’s Liverpool Street or Stratford, Romford, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Manningtree, Stowmarket, Ingatestone, Shenfield, Hatfield Peverel, Witham, Kelvedon, Marks Tey, Diss, Braintree, or Clacton, you’re laughing. The fest also has a shuttle bus to get you from Chelmsford Station to the site.

If you’re coming from further afield, there’s a car park adjacent to the festival site. There are also a fair few accommodation options in the area for you to choose from.
