The smiling face burned bright inside a Hawaiian volcano last week.

The smiling face of acid house has long been connected with a word beginning with E, but it isn't normally eruption.
In Hawaii however it's a different story after Kilauea, an active volcano, spewed out hot lava and formed the shape of the genre's most iconic symbol (see below).
Much like acid house itself, the volcano has been active since the mid 80s and erupted on July 27th before the image was captured from a helicopter. Unconfirmed reports placed DJ Pierre at the scene...
