Having individually made their marks on Manchester's underground nightlife over the past few years, Hit & Run and Amen Brother combine forces to throw and bass-fueled NYE party with everything cranked up to 11.
Heading the line up is the mercurial Sam Binga. A producer well in the ascendancy, Sam Binga's work has been finding a supreme following as his merging of classic drum n bass tropes, footwork beats, grime vocals and off kilter dubstep has set him a serious distance from the crowd, leading him to be hailed as a breath of fresh air in the bass music world.
His sets prove a delightful sojourn through amen breaks, cut off vocals, deep basslines, and varying tempos all allayed with a hip hop attitude, that have been setting dance floors alight across the country. Check out his mix for Jittabug at The Blast (below) to get a taste of what the Bristol based beat conductor is capable of.
The hugely lauded Mark XTC and Tonn Piper join in the end of year celebrations with a classic jungle set lined up. With Mark XTC's stature in the underground rave scene in the north of England, and Tonn Piper, renowned for for his immense stage presence and unique versatility, you're in safe hands for a jungle set of dynamic, captivating proportions.
Other highlights include a live set from the always impressive hip hop raconteur Ape Cult, the wickedly versatile Warehouse Project regular Jonny Dub and Manchester hip hop beatsmith Danny Drive-Thru. For fans of hip hop, drum n bass, dubstep and trap, Amen Brother and Hit & Run have come up trumps for their end of year do.
