Andreya Triana (full name: Andreya Nadine Alexandra Triana Barton) is a London-based singer-songwriter with a voice so encapsulating she’ll have you quivering in your bed socks.
Born and raised in South East London, you may recognise her gorgeous vocals from one of her many collabs with some of the best DJ-producers in the game, including Bonobo, Mr. Scruff, Flying Lotus and Breach.
An alumnus of the Red Bull Music Academy and MOBO Award nominee, Andreya's sound is probably best described as 'quirky, smoky soul-pop', as demonstrated perfectly on her last album, Life In Colour, which she describes as "a metaphor for letting go of societal and personal limitations and stepping into my womanhood."
We sent Laurie over to St Pancras Old Church with an old box of Jenga to meet Andreya, talk life and 'things that are not ok'... such as celery.
