Brand new night Trace gets underway on April 4th in significant style with Bristolain duo Outboxx getting things underway. With a promise to bring to Liverpool's discerning crowd the very best in hard hitting house and techno, Trace delivers just that as the tough and bassy 4/4 exponents bring their instantly recognisable bassheavy, jazz-inflected smoky beats to Haus Warehouse.
As favourites of DJs like Julio Bashmore, Deetron, Detroit heavyweight Ryan Elliott and Panorama bar resident Tama Sumo, Outboxx output on labels like Idle hands and Futureboogie has announced the arrival of an exciting house music power, as they continue to impress with their well honed sound that harks back wonderfully to the glory days of house music.
Less Effect hit Haus Warehouse armed once again with almighty sound system RC1 to showcase the mercurial talents of Bristol's finest bass music protagonists - Addison Groove.
Since donning his Addison Groove moniker back in 2010, Antony Williams has been relentlessly producing some of the most inventive interpretations of footwork this country has seen, with his trademark 808 drum patterns and creative freewheeling finding homes on some of the scene's most respected labels, like Loefah's Swamp 81, Martyn's 3024 and most recently Modeselektor's 50 Weapons.
With his wicked Presents James Grieve LP (above) landing earlier this month, Addison Groove continues to boast one of the most acerbic, forward thinking's voices in bass music, equally as gifted producing house and techno as he is footwork and jungle. His live sets are simply astonishing. This one will be massive.
I Give Good Face prepares to celebrate its second birthday at Haus Warehouse on April 20th, inviting London based deep house head James Dexter to get the party in full swing. Having released records on top tier labels such as Nervous, Static Audio, Beef Records, Solid Ground Recordings, James has gradually risen to the forefront of the deep house movement, with his break away remix of Miguel Migs' 'Tonight' proving to be an overwhelming success (above).
He will be joined by burgeoning Liverpool based talent and Dorcas family members Lauren Lo Sung and Jamie Haus for a cracking second birthday party.
Psychometric Vision brings Soma Sonic too Haus Warehouse on April 26th, boasting a line up overflowing with psytrance heavy hitters. Iranian dark psytrance purveyor Jaadoo heads up proceedings, with Brazil based Whiptongue and Digital Shamans favourite Act One all performing live sets, guaranteed to send your mind into another dimension.
Elsewhere The Beaupreau take things down a notch with a more trippy, laid back vibe (check out their mix above), whilst Magusa and Guano Unsane bring psybreaks, glitch and drum n bass into the equation. Complete with 'multi dimensional art and light installations' and plenty of performance art, this edition of Soma Sonic is going to be unmissable for psy fans.
