Many British and International urban artists will be hopeful of receiving an award at tonight's MOBO Awards at Leeds' First Direct Arena.

Following another impressive year in the world of urban culture music, the competition is more fierce than ever before, with many new and upcoming musicians making an instant impact on the scene.

One branch of the culture which will be watched with keen eyes by the fans tonight is that of grime music: an ever-evolving hip hop hybrid that has emerged from the doldrums in North London.

The scene has grown in stature over the years, through the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah and Skepta. (Watch Skepta and brother JME winning Best Video Award at last year's Award ceremony

The public have been able to vote for their favourite act for various different categories, including best newcomer, best male/female act and best song, as well as their favourite performer within the certain genre of music, ranging from hip hop to gospel.

Among the nominees are Manchester's hottest prospect Bugzy Malone, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for their smash hit 'Uptown Funk' and Jess Glynne.

With Lethal Bizzle, Krept & Konan and new grime prodigy Stormzy confirmed to be performing, it's set to be a top night of entertainment and celebration of the achievements.
