Circoloco, quite possibly the most famous party in the global dance scene that found fame at arguably the coolest club in the world, DC10, is heading for Leeds. Joining forces with legendary Leeds promotion, Asylum, and housing up at the citys coolest club, Mint, brace yourselves for a hedonistic banquet of all things techno.
There isnt a true dance fan alive that hasnt heard of Circoloco in one way or another, and after being cruelly robbed of its spiritual home by Ibizan authorities last year, Circoloco is taking things global and on this visit to Mint, theyre bringing along residents Andrew Grant and Clive Henry.
Resident with the party since the tender age of 25, Andrew Grant has grown and developed amongst some of the worlds highest calibre of DJs (Luciano, Villalobos, Magda.) as well as pursuing his own highly successful production career that now sees him head up the label, Barraca Music, whos first release Points by Danny Fiddo could easily be hailed as the coolest tech track to hit the scene since M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shades bouncy, minimal masterpiece, Body Language. Clive Henry, one half of one of Englands finest production teams, Peace Division, has DJd at every major club the world over, in every major country and at the coolest parties around. Flying high in his career with a faultless sound that journeys seamlessly through the spectrum of underground house, theres no wonder why Circoloco asked him to be resident and why he regular whips crowds into a mangled frenzy everywhere from Jakarta to Japan.
Back up on the night comes in the form of Adam Shelton, resident and key player at intimate Birmingham underground club, Below. Seeking an all together cooler vibe to counteract the citys super clubs, Adams been instrumental in the forming of a whole new movement in the area. And alongside the altogether more soulful sounding DJ Negghead, will bring a special touch to the night that will firmly cement this as one of the most unmissable Leeds parties of 2009.
