Our man on the ground Jack Law does the dirty work, sifting through the best of the island’s upcoming nightlife whilst sipping on a Caprinha at Salinas beach.

With the season now approaching its peak, the island of Ibiza is getting busier and the possibilities for hedonism are aplenty. Some of you will have already been and gone, taking away hazy memories of some of the best nights of your life. But for those of you still preparing for your own experience of the White Isle this year, check out what's going on in August.
The month kicks off in style, and those of you heading to Space on the 1st will find yourselves at Enter, where Visionquest are taking over the Terrace with their 'Thirteen' tour. Expect weird and wonderful deep techno as the group make the room their own, whilst Hawtin, Damian Lazarus and Gaiser (live) keep things minimal in the Discoteca. Pencil in the 22nd as Cocoon boss Sven Vath comes back to join his good friend Hawtin in the main room.
Also at Space Carl Cox continues to raise the bar on Tuesdays, with a back to back bonanza on the Terrace on the 6th seeing him go head to head with Nic Fanciulli, and Davide Squillace with Guti (live). The 20th is also a big one as house heroes Masters at Work join Magda, Dyed Soundorom and Fanciulli again for a delightful mixture of house, deep and techno. The We Love line-ups span talent from all areas, most notably at Space's 24th birthday with huge names like Fatboy Slim and 2ManyDjs heading the electro side of things with techno and house being represented by the brand favourites Joris Voorn, Technasia and the legend that is DJ Ralf.
Amnesia have an exciting month ahead with Cocoon who have some huge nights planned, as Richie Hawtin returns to his old home on the 19th and Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano come together on the 26th; those of you that know of their incredible Cocoon closing performance back in 2008 (listen to it above) are sure to be wetting their pants with excitement for this one. The ever popular trance and electro night Cream keep Thursdays euphoric with trance masters throughout the month including Above and Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Gareth Emery. Meanwhile on Friday 16th Marco Carola punches rolling techno all night long on the Terrace at Music On.
The Radio One Weekend returns to Ushuaia and Privilege across Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th with huge line-ups spanning from Eric Prydz and Pete Tong to Rudimental and Solomun (to name but a few); always a very popular weekend each year on the island.
New club Bomba is now Booom! and is finally open for business, with Circus (the brainchild of Yousef) now weekly on a Thursday, bringing legend in the game Danny Tenaglia over on the 8th August alongside Ibiza favourites Acid Mondays and of course Yousef himself. Luciano brings the Vagabundos and his Cadenza crew to Booom! on Sundays inviting big guests each with their own flavours of techno, like Radioslave on the 11th , Josh Wink on the 18th and Carl Craig on the 25th.
Over at Pacha, Guy Gerber and his Wisdom Of The Glove parties on Wednesdays will showcase talent from the likes of dOP (live) on the 14th and Four Tet and Midland on the 21st whilst Solomun + 1 on Sundays interestingly invite a guest from Warung Beach Club on the 4th August. One to look out for at John Digweed's Insane on Fridays comes at the end of the month on the 30th August, when house gangsters DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter and Mark Farina come back to back to back for the third time this season and if that wasn't enough, Joris Voorn headlines as well.
The Sankeys line-ups are ever strong and the club is certainly proving that they mean business when they say they plan to. The Diynamic Neon Nights residents on Tuesdays continue to keep deep house fun and sexy whilst Claude VonStroke and his crew of Dirtybirds showcase their dirty bass on Thursdays (watch out for a Fatboy Slim guest appearance on the 22nd). Meanwhile on the 21st tINI & The Gang takeover Fuse (Wednesdays), on the 2nd M.A.N.D.Y and Audiofly become M.A.N.F.L.Y at Flying Circus (Fridays), Carnival Cities on Saturdays host a range of guests from Tobi Neumann to Cajmere and DJ Sneak, and fresh off the back of a very successful live Essential Mix evening, the Viva Warriros on Sundays are fast becoming one of the most popular nights for the club.
Off The Balaeric Track
For those of you that love deep, sexy and groovy house music with plenty of oompf, pencil down the 24th August when Apollonia take over DC10 for an all night long back to back to back between French deep house experts Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky. Last years was brilliant and this one is expected be no different.
Suggested Activity
One thing that is worth finding the time out of a busy schedule of partying for is a trip to the Las Dalias hippy market in San Carlos. Head down on a Tuesday evening to check out the range of market stalls full of all sorts of weird and wonderful objects before having a drink in one of the restaurants or bars. Finish off the night with a party curated by Nightmares on Wax.
As usual, there's so much to choose from and we're barely scratching the surface. However, use our pick as a guide to what is hot this month and for anything else, check out our Ibiza section.
