Austra, the project of Toronto synth pop singer Katie Stelmanis, will bring new album Future Politics to Manchester's Deaf Institute on Friday 24th March.
Set for release in late January, the record will be Austra's third full length effort after the outfit's debut Feel It Break was shortlisted for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize.
Ahead of the album's release comes the video for its title track which, according to Stelmanis, explores "what a world might look like if our values were transformed: instead of glorifying labour, maybe we could learn to glorify the act of doing absolutely nothing."
The channelling of these futuristic notions are set to light up a slew of UK sweatboxes, as the Canadian outfit use the dancefloor to showcase their political power pop.
