The event came about in response to the tragic suicide of the chef Kevin Boyle, whose body was discovered in a South London garden in January 2012.

Organiser Dave Ahern was so deeply moved by the news that he set about arranging the event, with the intention of raising funds  to enable CALM's helpline to run until 3am every night of the week - giving young men with depression someone to turn to before resorting to such drastic measures as Kevin sadly felt necessary.

Chefs for CALM will be an opportunity for 200 diners to enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared award-winning chefs Alyn Williams (pictured), Ben Spalding, Jose Pizarro, Mark Poynton and Mickael Weiss, and Michelin star winners Russell Brown and Phil Thompson - who will create an exclusive one-off menu for CALM.

The event will be hosted by comedian David Baddiel, and the ticket price included a range of wines handpicked to match each course, as well as a Champagne reception.

Looking after diners will be some of London's finest from of house staff from restaurants such as Pollen Street Social, Galvin at Windows and Alyn Williams at the Westbury.

The evening will feature music and entertainment as well as an auction. Once CALM's target amount is reached all monies will be split equally between CALM and the fund being set up by the Boyle family in Kevin's memory to help young men suffering from depression.

Organiser Dave Ahern simply said: "We want to send a message to those in the industry who are struggling with depression that its OK to ask for help".

Tickets for Chefs for CALM are £200, with all proceeds going to the charity.
