BBC Introducing to launch first ever electronic stage at Creamfields 2017

It's the first of its kind and will welcome a carefully curated bill of grassroots acts.

BBC Music Introducing will curate its first ever dedicated dance music stage, coming to this year's Creamfields which takes place across the August bank holiday weekend. This will give unsigned, under the radar talent the chance to shine on the festival circuit, thus granting them huge opportunities within the music world.

BBC Introducing's regular format, set up for bands and more traditional live acts, has helped to launch the careers of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Florence And The Machine, Lady Leshurr and more. At Creamfields however, the stage will present DJs and live acts within the electronic music scene, selected by local BBC Introducing shows as well as a handful of Radio 1 DJs.

Rachel Coomber, the Editor at BBC Music Introducing has said: "We're very excited to be bringing the BBC Music Introducing stage to Creamfields for the first time, and especially delighted to be broadening the musical scope of BBC Music Introducing and taking it to one of the leading Dance Music Festivals in the world. Brand new up-and-coming DJs, producers and live electronic acts from around the country, selected by the BBC, will be able to play alongside some of the world’s biggest artists and their performances will be recorded for broadcast across radio and online”.
