The first wave of acts for Liverpool’s Baltic Weekender - from the teams behind 24 Kitchen Street and Abandon Silence - have been announced.
Taking place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May 2020, some of the most exciting names in house, techno, grime, soul and bass music will play across multiple indoor and outdoor venues within the city’s Baltic Triangle area, marking the final weekend of the academic year.
Highlights from the first wave announcement include Glaswegian party starter Denis Sulta, producer powerhouse Daniel Avery, Metalheadz mainstay Benny L and a rare back-to-back between Ben UFO and Joy Orbison.
There will also be DJ sets from Nightmares On Wax and garage favourite Jossy Mitsu, live performances from psychedelic soul songstress Greentea Peng and the House Gospel Choir, and a serving of old-skool-inspired dubstep from Sicaria Sound.
Local talent on offer includes Meine Nacht founder Breakwave, Sisbis head honcho Giovanna and NTS Manchester resident Sofie K.
Baltic Weekender co-founder Andrew Hill said: “We’re really excited to reveal our biggest line up to date, bringing some of the leading names across all musical genres to the city as we kick off the festival season.
“We’re always focused on bringing emerging and established talent to the city, showcasing live acts and DJs in Liverpool’s most loved venues. Now more than ever, we want to celebrate the continued diversity of our music culture, whilst seeking to preserve its future.”
