It was only last year when we were speaking to Spring King that frontman Tarek detailed how the band were conjuring up tracks and recording them in his bathroom.
Since then they've came to everyone's immediate tension at eye-socket rattling speed. Instantly they've became hot property playing slots at festivals like Leeds and Reading and notably being penned first on the Zane Lowe's playlist with 'City' for the inaugural Beats1 show.
Ahead of their February headline tour that slaloms the country from next week, the band have plenty of sold out shows to look forward to.
It's a signal of their widespread appeal, broadened by the quintet's hurtling live sets that pump serious frenetic energy and draw every breathe from Tarek's lungs as he smashes the shit out of his drum kit.
What's more is that they've not even released an album yet. Which is seemingly the next step for the band after they've flipped the lid off touring and festival season. Expect thunderous DIY punk, sax from guitarist Pete's Dad and super-juiced rhythmic assaults that flip to harmonious sing-a-longs in an instant.
