A slip of the tongue from drum 'n' bass icon Goldie may well have revealed the identity of serial graffiti artist and man of mystery Banksy.
Many thought the identity of the artist, whose roots are said to be in Bristol, belonged to Massive Attack founder member Robert Del Naja with many pieces of Banksy artwork appearing in places where the triphop legends were on tour.
It now seems as though this could be true, or at the very least Del Naja is one of an alleged few that make up the Banksy organisation after Goldie's interview on Scroobius Pip’s weekly Distraction Pieces podcast.
Speaking about the commercialisation of art, and in particular the work of the iconic graffiti artist, Goldie said:
"Give me a bubble letter and put it on a T-shirt and write “Banksy” on it and we’re sorted. We can sell it now."
"No disrespect to Robert, I think he is a brilliant artist. I think he has flipped the world of art over."
Could the cat finally be out of the bag? Only time will tell.
