With the announcement of Bedrock’s 15th Birthday party being shrouded in mystery earlier in the year, with only the date and location announced, it’s with great joy that we ahve finally received word on who will be laying down the vibes for the iconic labels celebration.
As with anything Bedrock touches, the line up is laced with sheer quality, artists and DJs that have shaped the sound of the label, and who whilst making nods to the game changing past of the imprint also forge a new path of underground dance music for the future.
John Digweed Live in Cordoba
Of course, label boss and perhaps one of the most respected DJs in the world - John Digweed will head up proceedings. Taking control of the main room, Digweed will treat the crowd to a set crammed with dancefloor dynamite. As one of the most accomplished DJs in the world, his sets are a thing of beauty, an essential experience for lovers of house and techno. What has us most excited though is that the party will also act as the launch event for Digweed and regular collaborator Nick Muir's forthcoming album ‘Versus’, their first new material since they released the lush ‘Santiago’ back in 2005. Hailed as one of the best production teams in their field, we cannot wait to hear what they have in store for us.
Julian Jeweil - The Gang
Alongside Digweed will also be a live set from the incredibly gifted Frenchman Julian Jeweil. With records released on labels such as Cocoon and PLUS 8, Julian has established himself as one of the most reliably brilliant techno producers around. He’ll be joined by Max Cooper, an artist whose unique mixture of techno beats and luscious synth and atmospheric works have made him responsible for some of the most stunningly gorgeous dance music in recent years.
Jimmy Van M @ Bahrein Club, Buenos Aires
Bedrock favourites Edu Imbernon and Gary Beck will also be appearing at Fire, London, as will longtime Bedrock label cohort, tireless forward thinking producer, and perpetually inspired DJ Jimmy Van M.
With the full spectrum of house through to techno all represented, Bedrock 15 will comprehensively showcase the labels eclectic philosophy, and with more acts yet to be announced Bedrock’s 15th Birthday already has us seriously excited.
