Bedrock Records has been a benchmark for high quality electronic music for years, via the likes of Timo Maas, Guy Gerber, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, Guy J and Henry Saiz, and their parties have consistently lived up to that mandate and reputation. Each year John Digweed showcases this prowess on Easter Thursday in London, and we can now reveal the DJs joining him when he convenes on Fire on Thursday 17th April.
Soundwall Podcast #125: Ripperton by Soundwall Mag on Mixcloud
Joining John in the Main Room will be Ripperton, the perfect compliment to Digweed's six hour set. Much like Digweed Ripperton's reputation is built on intricately layering grooves over sustained periods, with subtlety and deepness two core characteristics of his signature sound. Check out his podcast for Italian magazine Soundwall above for an indication of the soulful sonics at his disposal.
Over in the Lightbox, the presence of Hercules & Love Affair temptress Kim Anne Foxman adds a disco touch to the atmosphere, her ability to weld gargling acid to the softer touches of the genre making for a dirt laden soundclash. Glasgow's worst kept secret, Drumcode, Saved and Soma Recordings released producer Harvey Mckay, UK house legend Darren Emerson and Eagle & Butterflies join her.
Subculture will man the Protocol room, with Dubspeeka, Blue Amazon, Matt Tanner & Grant Nichols and Neil Brown. Grab your tickets here.
