The forward thinking team behind Below have for the past six years been tirelessly breaking new ground with their no nonsense approach to party starting, having single-handedly forged an underground house and techno scene in Birmingham where before there was none.

The years have seen many changes of venue, an increased following and a tonne of world class DJs as Below continually pioneer their unique approach to raving. This New Year's Day sees Below return to The Rainbow Complex, with a suitably mouth-watering line up on the menu.

First up is Point G (.G), with a live set lined up. As one of the coolest, longest serving members of the Paris underground scene, Point G or DJ Gregory as he's also known has since the 90's been releasing blistering super smooth, bouncing house tracks that have paved the way for the likes of the Apollonia crew. Classics like his 'On The Raw Again EP', and his recent '#1'-'#3' releases all fetch silly money on discogs, further demonstrating his importance and status within the French house music fraternity. 

He will be joined by DJ Mag's 'Best Breakthrough DJ' of 2011 Subb-an. Appearing on every record label from Crosstown rebels to Spectral and most recently Visionquest, Subb-an's undeniable talents in the studio have propelled him to widespread notoriety. His DJing skills as can be proven with his DJ Mag gong are simply outstanding, as he wades between techno, house and deep house with effortless ease.

Below co-founder Adam Shelton also appears, as does John Dimas, Tristan Da Cunha, and Tom Craven amongst a slew of others.

Below's 14 hour New Years Day extravaganza is looking very tasty indeed.
