After announcing last week that Outkast would be on headline duties at this year's Bestival, the Isle of Wight stationed soiree has let slip a number more names to helm their party ship from September 4th-7th. Joining the Atlanta rappers at the top of the bill will be erudite troubadour Beck (check his track 'Devil's Haircut' below) and British Indie heavyweights Foals, taking the Thursday and Saturday headline duties respectively. Outkast will be the star attraction on Friday with Sunday's headliner yet to be announced.
As well as the details surrounding these three artists, Bestival has also released a bevvy of support acts alongside the trio. Two itans of modern dance will both play live with Disclosure and Major Lazer bringing their live shows to the fore. They'll be joined by London Grammar, Wild Beasts, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, Caribou, Chvrches and Laura Mvula, with plenty more scheduled for future announcements. Bestival's main man Rob da Bank states:
“Foals were voted best live act of last year and I'm delighted they'll be headlining the Saturday night – there’s no better indie guitar band in the UK right now. Also donning a grass skirt and mirrorball is a total icon of popular music and one of my favourite songwriters, Beck, plus disco darlings Disclosure, Diplo and his Major Lazer crew and all the hottest new bands from London Grammar to Clean Bandit. So get out of your deckchair and get ready to disco, my friends!”
