Iconic DJ and toaster Big Youth is heading to Liverpool, bringing his Upper Cut Band to District Club on Friday 18th August for an evening of roots, reggae and dub.

The vocalist rose to prominence in his native Kingston in the seventies, with a slew of releases on legendary imprint Trojan including 1976's certified classic Natty Cultural Dread. Famed for his unique chanting style, he remains one of the genre's most reputable figures, and a must see for anyone with even a passing interest in the sound.
The event will be organised by the team behind the city's award winning Positive Vibration festival, with support from Africa Oyé DJs Marley & Vegas ensuring a perfect summer foray. Big Youth tickets are available via the box below.
