Birkenhead Festival of Electronica

12 hours of peripheral and underground experimental electronica in Birkenhead for £6! Live music and DJ sets from some of the finest exponents of ambient, drone, lo-fi, minimal electronic music

24th Feb sees the Wirral based Moolakii Club Audio Interface label bring electronica artists from around the country to Birkenhead's Bloom Building for an all day festival of peripheral and underground experimental electronica.

Wirral based artist - Loopatronica will be playing a slow build set of ambient to big beat and everything in between for a smorgasbord of experimental electronica to kick things off

Manchester based Mode 7 Project creates ethereal and slowly evolving Japanese inspired ambient works

14:45 Bone Music (LIVE)

Originally from Wirral, Chris "Bone Music" Bullock builds DIY synths and creates ambient / noise / drone works

A set from Manchester's Fresh Pots - expect anything from contemporary jazz-funk, 90's hip hop + R&B, electronica, psychedelic rock and everything in between

Whitby's Subphotic - another Castles in Space artist creating beautiful ambient drone smothered in electronic folk vocals

19:30 The Metamorph (DJ)

Originally from Rock Ferry and residing in Wales, The Metamorph records and performs sci-fi-inspired electronica from his rural lair in North Wales. A DJ with over 30 years experience in London, Edinburgh and Los Angeles he will be playing a mix of electronic music from the 60s to the present day, all blended with custom dialogue samples.
