Birmingham's 'The Berlin Bar' announce huge opening party for new venue

After two tumultuous years in the dark, with the only thoughts being on returning the groove to the deserving punters in Brum, the wonderful team over at The Berlin Bar in Birmingham has announced they have finally secured a new venue in Digbeth to bring all of the classic underground techno vibes back in the biggest ways they know how.

To celebrate the opening of the new industrial rave spot, a warehouse being used in this capacity for the first time ever, the team are putting on a huge opening party, Berlin Bar - The Rebirth, welcoming the Birmingham faithful into a warehouse that has never before seen two-step. Taking place on the 6th of May, The Berlin Bar will be bringing its trademark underground sounds of Berlin and beyond back to their beloved city, promising to supply progressive deep and melodic rolling basslines to deliver a high-energy sound that you won’t find anywhere else in the UK!

Sign-ups for tickets go live at 6:30 pm today and are one of the few ways in which you can guarantee yourself being there, down at the front, raving, and celebrating the opening of a venue in which you will spend many a night grooving. 

The spot itself is one they have been long searching for, and have been tirelessly kitting out in preparation. The team there have promised the new Berlin Bar venue will be particularly special, as it looks to channel all the elements of some of Berlin's most famous underground venues, from the brick exterior to the raw concrete floors, the low ceilings to the "no expense spared" sound-system; This venue will capture your imagination, and take you on a musical journey through the many facets of Techno.

It's set to be comprised of two different environments. First, the Berlin bar, the area you will see as you step inside, features seating areas to either chill with your pals and have a drink before the boogie, or to rest your legs after being entranced by it. Plus, this space will even have a secret room for all you adventurous ravers. Second, is the main dance area, a space they are aptly labelling The Tunnel (no sitting down in this area). This will be the groove-inducing, all-encompassing, techno capital of the whole space, with a sound system that fills every nook and cranny with bass. 

Not only will their global selection of DJs be setting the vibe on the many many huge nights this venue has in its future, but the space also has a live stream space, nestled into one of the old lift shafts, from which they are looking to host a multitude of Boiler Room style streams from. 

Basically, this is a space not to be taken lightly. Plus, with an ethos like that of the team here, the venue promises not to be just a bar or club, but a cultural experience with community and global connection at the forefront of its focus. 

So, whether a lifelong resident of Birmingham or someone from elsewhere who now calls the second city home, if you're a raver of the techno variety you have a new home in the city, and you quite simply have to be there on the opening night.
