Block 9 have teamed up with Banksy to create what is billed as 'The UK's most disappointing new visitor attraction', held at the until recently derelict Tropicana in Weston-super-Mare.

Taking over the venue for five weeks, from Saturday August 22nd to Sunday September 27th, Banksy's festival of 'art, amusements and entry level anarchism' promises to be a twisted version of Disneyland, and will feature work from Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer and Jimmy Cauty amongst scores of others.
Some of the installations include a version of Cinderella's castle, a horse built of scaffolding, a dark re-imagining of Punch and Judy, two juggernauts performing ballet, a strobe light heavy model village, and an oil caliphate themed crazy golf course.
Artists set to play there include DJ Yoda, Peanut Butter Wolf, Run The Jewels, Sleaford Mods, Savages, Kate Tempest, Pussy Riot and Massive Attack.
Until recently Weston-super-mare residents were under the impression that the dilapidated Tropicana building was closed off due to filming of a Hollywood movie called Grey Fox, but sightings of Banksy's rumoured manager Holly Cushing, the lack of any camera equipment and the unusual structures peaking over the top of the walls raised the alarm. Dismaland gets under way this Saturday.
