After rolling out their eight part series - Freedom Of The DJ, a run of shows that saw them immersing themselves in the finest examples of dance music culture, blu eCigs are undoubtedly establishing themselves champion exponents of top drawer underground music. The brand further solidifies that association with an extensive music tour, bringing together a troop of outstanding selectors to key venues for a wave of parties across the UK.
Tickets operate on a ballot basis and cannot be purchased to gain entry, all you need to do is register via the below links prior to the ballot deadline dates.
Proceedings kick off in Dublin at the Twisted Pepper on Saturday 4th October, welcoming cosmic disco purveyor Andrew Weatherall supported by Alle Farben. One half of ALFOS - the acclaimed partnership with Sean Johnston, Weatherall is a musical wizard, renowned for his incredible range when selecting tracks that vary from anything between experimental techno and spacey analogue disco (check him out below).
A man firmly in the ascendancy when it comes to shaking up club spaces with psychedelia twinged electro is Erol Alkan. The Phantasy Sound vanguard will do just that when he heads up the tour in Bristol on Friday 10th October at The Old Crown courts.
Beats in Space luminary Tim Sweeney joins in on the electro propensities, along with the Norwegian who refuses to be cornered by genre concepts, Prins Thomas and Bristolian natives, Pardon my French to spin some beats torn between house and disco.
The tour branches out into housier plains at Sheffield's Fez Club, with a trio of artists who've firmly established themselves on the club circuit in recent years. Frequent Rinse FM selector - DJ Oneman, renowned for cleansing the nation with a fine blend of records from all walks of electronic music takes over the controls, along with jacking house cultivators Leftwing & Kody and finally Eliphino with his bass heavy, garage influenced approach on Saturday 18th October.
The final leg of the tour in October sees the two step revival hit full flow, when Deadboy hits up the club with his distinct garage sound wrapped up in R&B vocals that lends itself to the 'UK Funky' movement, with Pinch bringing a slice of dubstep to the table alongside eclectic beatsmith Mumdance (who joined Pinch for the above mix) to round off a cracking ensemble making their way to Newcastle's World Head Quarters on Saturday 25th October.
