We've only just found out who's nabbed the award for this year's Mercury Prize, but bookies are already listing the early favourites that they think might pick up the gong in 2016.
Benjamin Clementine picked up the 2015 prize on Friday 20th November, beating the likes of Wolf Alice, Jamie xx and Florence + The Machine (watch him dedicate it to the Paris attack victims below).
William Hill have named the likes of The Last Shadow Puppets aka Alex Turner and Miles Kane, who have recently announced they will put out a second album in 2016. David Bowie's album Blackstar is also in the running.
With The Stone Roses back on tour, the group have also been given odds. William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com:
"When the shortlist was announced, we thought there was no way that Benjamin Clementine would be able to win, but there was a major gamble which suggested otherwise and was proved correct.
“The Stone Roses are getting back for a tour and there are rumours that an album may come with it, while the whispers of an Oasis reunion are still not going away and no doubt that if they ever do get back together, they would produce an album capable of competing for the Mercury."
The odds are as follows:
Villagers (10/1)
Bloc Party (10/1)
Metronomy (10/1)
The xx (10/1)
Savages (10/1)
The Last Shadow Puppets (10/1)
David Bowie (12/1)
Radiohead (12/1)
The Stone Roses (12/1)
Turin Brakes (12/1)
Daughter (14/1)
Gorillaz (14/1)
Suede (16/1)
Field Music (16/1)
Mystery Jets (20/1)
Money (20/1)
Foxes (20/1)
Oasis (20/1)
