The unique weekender returns from 8th - 11th August, taking place in a specially constructed town near Winchester. This year the town will be divided into five districts, with each area being represented by a different musical style. Districts including Mayfair Avenue, El Barrio Loco, Chinatown, DOwntown and Trenchtown will each have their own distinctive flavour, showcasing musical styles including ska, swing, folk and punk; reggae, dub and jungle; and breaks and bass.
Acts announced today for Boomtown 2013 include the genre defying Parov Stelar Band, fusion frontiers Ozomatli, ska stalwarts Mad Caddies, Grammy award winning sunshine hip-hop legends Arrested Development, Reggae’s soul master Toots and the Maytals, one of reggae’s most prolific singer/songwriters Richie Spice, international reggae sensation Collie Buddz and the Kingston Band. As well as Foreign Beggars, Redlight, Chinese Man (Live), Dub Inc., Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Gentleman’s Dub Club and many more.
The next batch of confirmed artists will be announced next Thursday 14th - as a Valentines gift from the BoomTown Mayor.
