Brighton Music Conference returns for its 6th year, bringing with it an exciting and noteworthy array of industry experts, producers and next generation DJs.
Last updated: 23rd Apr 2019
This week sees the return of the annual Brighton Music Conference, widely regarded as the UK's leading electronic music and networking event.
After a 5-year residency at the Brighton Dome, 2019's conference will be held at the impressive beachfront British Airways i360 venue, home to the UK's tallest, ascending observation tower and occasional live music venue. Other specifically curated venues in the surrounding area will also play a vital part, as per previous years, hosting workshops, panels and handling after-hours entertainment.
Skiddle will be hosting a 'Supporting Promoters' panel on Thursday 25th April at 11am in the Professional Theatre 2. We'll discuss the stresses facing promoters, how to support others in the industry, and how to make the most of being a promoter.
Venues such as The Green Door Store, Komedia and The Arch will all run official after parties over the course of the weekend. Shogun Audio and Elevate Records have teamed up with the Brighton Music Conference team to bring a night of bassline and drum n bass to The Arch, including DJs Friction, Technimatic, Deadline, Flipnosis, Meraki and Biobreak to name a few.
Boiler Room is headed to Brighton on the Thursday with Eclair Fifi and Big Miz. Superstar DJ, David Morales is also set to appear and shake the foundations of the venue.
The Green Door Store will host a night of deep house and techno, with notable Birmingham-via-Berlin, techno stalwart Rebekah taking over, whilst Komedia will accommodate UK house music legend, Danny Rampling alongside Sam Moffet.
Ticket holders can expect a weekend crammed with panel discussions on the industry, the future of technology and electronic music, and other various important topics such as mental health and welfare awareness. Attendees are almost guaranteed to gain a wealth of knowledge by attending the 60 plus panels given by the extensive list of over 180 artists and speakers.
DJs confirmed to appear at the event include some of the most respected household names, such as Leftwing & Kody, Paul Oakenfold and Marshall Jefferson, with the keynote speech coming from David Morales. Highly regarded music establishments and businesses such as BIMM, Beatport, Horus Music, Pioneer DJ and PRS for Music will also be represented at the event.
