Calling Festival First Wave of acts announced

The festival announcements continue to arrive thick and fast, with this morning's being the turn of London's Calling Festival. Hitting Clapham Common on July 4th, Calling Festival will be bringing to the capital a huge line up of rock legends to the delight of the city's alternative rock faithful.

First to be announced for the festival is Britpop raconteur Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds (listen to latest single 'Ballad Of The mighty' above). Celebrated singer/songwriter Ryan Adams joins them, with garage rock deviants The Hives and post punk legends Echo & the Bunnymen rounding off the initial announcements.
