Camden Crawl is a long-established culture festival in the heart of London, celebrating three days of bank holiday madness through a melange of music, film, comedy, visual arts, and interactive entertainment.
Entering its 11th successful year Camden Crawl 2012 promises to be of epic proportions, with a brand-new opening night extravaganza planned for Friday 4th May at Camden’s historic KOKO venue.
The debut night will showcase six live acts including an unannounced special guest, before culminating with a special edition of Club NME until 4am.
The remainder of the festival will span day and night over the entire May bank holiday weekend, with the daytime arts festival exhibiting some of the finest talent in the arts industries at the moment. This includes comedy, story-telling, fringe theatre, poster and record fair, independent film screenings, as well as interactive events such as a planned ‘alternative pub-Olympics’.
The evening events will appear in various venues across Camden’s two mile stretch of pubs and clubs, and will feature over 250 of the brightest music stars from the UK and the rest of the world. Spanning every genre and topped off with some very special guests, Camden Crawl will further cement itself as the go-to event to kick off the summer.
Full festival line-ups will be announced in January 2012, however venue details and special guests will be unveiled at the event.
To coincide with the release of early-bird tickets on 26th October, festival organisers have revealed the first of a fortnightly free VARIETY event, which organisers describe as “four great nights out in one”.
The first VARIETY promises to star cutting edge comedy from award-winning comedian Phil Nichol, a Rough Trade competitive pop quiz, as well as live music from Young Legionnaire and Two Wounded Birds and guest DJs Good Girls Gone Bad.
