Starting in 1968, German experimental band Can were the driving force and pioneers behind the ever influential Krautrock genre and movement. Fast paced repetitive drum beats, along with reverb soaked guitars and elements of funk and world music, created an original psychedelic sound so unique it was deserving of its own genre - and so krautrock was born.
Can broke the mould with their sound, with singles such as 'Spoon' and 'I Want More' reaching national single charts. They've been named as influences on the likes of The Fall, Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Flaming Lips and so many more over the years. Now, their former frontman Damo Suzuki is to tour the UK.
