The event will also be held in memory of David Shepherd, brother of John 'Olie-S' Shepherd, who sadly passed away in October 2023 after a hard-fought battle with cancer and was cared for by the hospice.

V.E.R.D.U or Mikey Pearson, as he is known when he is not on the decks, has been promoting the charity night which is being run under the banner of his Anthemz event, which began in Silloth in 2010 before being revived by an event at Below in September 2023.

He said: "We just want to try to make it as busy as possible and raise as much money as possible.

"It's the least I can do for my friend John, it's the least I can do to try and promote a good night in memory of David."

Mikey, Nicky & John initially had the idea for the trance event last year, however, following the sad passing of David, it evolved into the charity night which will take place on what would have been David's birthday weekend.

Ahead of the event, Mikey was keen to thank everyone who has helped get the charity event of the ground, particularly Below Carlisle who have provided the venue for the fundraising rave.

He said: "Me and John were speaking about doing a trance night in Below, but unfortunately David died a few months later.

"After this John got in touch with me and said he'd like to have a night and have it on the weekend of David's birthday.

"So I got in touch with Ben Greenslade who runs Below, Box Arena and they said because it was for charity they would be more than willing to do it so big thanks to him for that."
