★CHASE & STATUS (Dj Set) W/ MC RAGE★

Lancaster Loves brings Chase & Status to The Sugarhouse...This WILL be mental!!!

Since the birth of their Drum and Bass career in 2004, things have been moving extremely rapidly for this London based duo. Quickly getting noticed for their mixing skills as well as their production, Chase and Status have gathered a hectic DJ schedule and can regularly be seen touring the world. Beginning their DJ careers just over 13 years ago, they have witnessed the constant stylistic changes the industry has been through and their sets really reflect this, covering a wide spectrum of Drum and Bass.

How many artists / producers can count Jay Z, Snoop Dogg and Pharell as fans as well as drum and bass’ finest Andy C, Hype and Pendulum; enjoy heavy rotation in the hands of dub-step royalty such as N-Type and Skream; and have each release enthusiastically supported by Annie Mac and Zane Lowe? This is what Saul Milton and Will Kennard, producing under the name Chase & Status, have achieved in 5 years, and the highlight of their young career so far has been their debut LP ‘More Than Alot’ which has helped turned them into a unique urban phenomenon, and the biggest crossover act to come out of the underground since Pendulum.

Looking forward to 2010, Chase & Status have signed a major record deal with Vertigo on Mercury Records and have already started working on new material for their second album, the first fruits of which entitled ‘End Credits’ feat. Plan B will appear on the up and coming film ‘Harry Brown’ featuring Sir Michael Caine.

★ T.C (Where’s my money?!) ★

"His beats are so advanced that they make rookie producers want to give up, his record sales continue to confound 'vinyl is dead' doomsayers, and with a live act that's touring the world - TC is just irresistible in drum & bass right now." K Mag, 2007

2009 has undoubtedly been TC's year: verified by sales, awards, great press coverage and extensive club and radio support from dance music's elite. Each of the singles taken from his debut album 'EVOLUTION' topped both BBC Radio 1's national dance chart and BBC 1Xtra's drum&bass chart. These include 'Deep', 'Jump', 'Rockstar' and 'Where's My Money'. Largely due to unprecedented radio support from BBC Radio 1, XFM and KISS FM including Zane Lowe (the album was his record of the week) Annie Mac, Jo Whiley, Pete Tong, Mary Ann Hobbs, Grooverider, Eddy Temple Morris and DJ Hype.

Lancaster Loves brings the guy responsible for (arguably) the most popular song in dubstep to this date, Where’s my money?!

★ D.O.D (AKA Dirty Dan) ★

D.O.D is the most exciting new talent to come from dance music for a long time. At the tender age of 21, Dan already has 10 years of DJ experience behind him. Dan is one of the most technical gifted dj's in the country, using an army of dj equipment to create his unique sound. Working hard every day, he digs out the finest acapellas, bootlegs and instrumentals to bridge the gap for switching genres of music in his ludacris style of dj-ing. Making edits and remixes in his studio goes a long way in D.O.D’s sets, leaving the crowd on their tip toes not knowing what is going to come next.

Playing a mix of House, Techno, Electro, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Dubstep,Hip-Hop and Indie, he really does stand out from the rest. Having literally played all over the country in the past 3 years, D.O.D rocks crowds every week, taking with him his unique, in your face turntable wizardry.
