Chester Live have confirmed the first acts for their 2019 event. This year's event runs from 4th - 7th July 2019 across the city of Chester.

Chester Live Festival Co-ordinator Dan Read said, "There's been a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes for the last 6 months to get to this point, especially on a large scale project which we've been working on with CWaC (Cheshire West and Chester Council). We'll hopefully have news on this in the coming weeks. I'm just delighted we can announce the first acts and get the ball rolling for the excitement for a full weekend of live events. Year on year we do our best to outdo ourselves, and I think this first annoucement of headliners shows our intention of creating an extremely exciting and diverse event in 2019."

The first headliners for the 2019 event include Terrorvision lead singer Tony Wright (https://goo.gl/tXtpKY), Bluetones lead singer Mark Morriss (https://goo.gl/AvB297), acoustic trance duo The Showhawk Duo ( https://goo.gl/WfKyCY) and London based indie rock band Eliza & The Bear (https://goo.gl/1vTjT9). As always Chester Live will be promoting a plethora of local talent with local bands Dead Sounds Society and Hollywood Eyes already confirmed for the event.

Dan Read continued, "There's still a lot of work to be done and we'll be announcing some very exciting projects and events over the coming weeks. We've also been looking at our overall structure and at our recent AGM a proposal was made to change that structure so Chester Live was not just a one off event, but more of an integral part of the community, supporting others through the medium of 'live' events and activities. This will be a massive change for the team as a whole but we feel it's a positive and exciting move. The future is looking very bright!"

Chester Live 2018 saw over 15,000 people attend live events across the city, with over 11,500 people attending the Chester Live Street Festival on Brook Street alone. The 2019 event looks to be bigger and better with the Chester Live team working closely with CWaC and community groups across the city to provide a diverse calendar of live events this summer.
