Chew the Fat! Turns 14 with Foamo

This month sees London electronic night Chew the Fat! reach the ripe old age of 14, and they'll be celebrating with a special party headlined by Foamo.

In the past 14 years, Chew The Fat! has developed a reputation as one of the most exciting nights the capital has to offer, encompassing a myriad of electronic styles, whilst always remaining true to its audience - an open-minded lot hell-bent on having a good time.

After a smashing Bank Holiday extravaganza, this year’s birthday celebrations see a change of venue; swapping Cable for the more intimate surroundings of The Nest, which will take the night back to its roots for a friends and family affair with some of the finest electronic talent around, spearheaded by Foamo.

Foamo aka 23 year old Kye Gibbon has had a storming 2011. His second year as Chew the Fat! resident has seen him spend the summer in Ibiza again, releasing a series of singles to coincide with his residency at Space.

Stunning tracks such as ‘Celestial’, ‘Vibrations’ and ‘Ocean Drive’, see his British house inspired style imbued gloriously with the blissed-out vibes of the White Isle. Fat! Records have compiled these tracks, along with another four to form the must-hear mini-album of the autumn.

In addition to Foamo up-close and personal in a venue a world away from the huge clubs he spends most weekends at, is some top-notch support. Reso, purveyor of the finest in crisp futuristic dubstep plays alongside Randomer, whose skeletal bass bangers have graced Hessle Audio, Soul Jazz, Med School & Fat! with upcoming talent, Maribou State who release their debut single, ‘Got Me Down’ through Fat! Records imminently. JP, head honcho of new label, Super, will also be down spinning some records.
